Health Care protection for the inhabitants of the Northern Bačka County provide the Medical Center, Pharmacy Health Institution and the Department for Health Care Protection on the territory of the Municipal region Subotica, Health Care Center in Bačka Topola and Health Care Center in Mali Iđoš. Medical Center in Subotica is made up of the Health Care Centre as an institution for primary medical protection and General Hospital as an institution for secondary medical protection. The Health Care Center supplies medical protection to the inhabitants of the Municipal Region with its wards:

• Ward for heath care protection of adults with the Emergency service ward;
• Dispensary for women, pre-school children and school children;
• Ward for health care protection of workers
• Stomatology Ward
• Dispensary for lung disease and tuberculosis
• Laboratory ward
• Policlinic and consulting Ward

Apart from these institutions under state ownership, heath care protection is provided by private health care institutions. In the Northern Bačka County following health care institutions are registered:

• 5 polyclinics
• 16 doctor offices
• 37 dental offices
• 1 laboratory for biochemistry
• 7 laboratories for dental work
• 2 institutions for house treatment
• 6 pharmaceutical institutions
• 15 pharmacies
• 1 medical technician ambulance
• 1 consulting institution

Medical service apart from these institutions is made up by health care workers and associates. The total number of employees in health care institutions of the Northern Bačka County is 3.588, out of that 333 in Health Care Center in Bačka Topola, 81 in Health Care Center in Mali Iđoš and 2.174 in the Medical Center in Subotica.
